To All Bread of Life Partners:

First of all, thank you! And thank God for you!  Thank you for allowing the work that God began through Don Albrecht to continue on.  As we were working in the village of Tezonquillio with Esther, I shared this with the group that went down.  Jesus said, "Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.  Already he who reaps is receiving wages, and is gathering fruit for life eternal; that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.  For in this case the saying is true, 'One sows and another reaps.'  I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered  into their labor."

For over 28 years another labored and now God is allowing another to reap where he has not labored.  Don's vision was to go into a church that he  had helped establish and have the members come up and introduce themselves to him.  His vision has become reality.  Those church plant leaders that Don helped lead are now duplicating leadership in villages that Don never visited.  Praise God!  The work continues.

In Aztec country, new church plants have begun in Chachatla and Totonicapa.  Eustolio, the brother of Pastor Nicolas from the church plant village of Tenango, has been preparing to lead this new church plant.  His support has been raised, he has been trained and now we wait on God's timing to have him move into this village.  Films have been shown on two occasions, toys and Bibles have been distributed.  A medical/evangelistic outreach is planned for this coming April.  A group from South Texas is preparing to take an evangelist drama early this summer.  We pray that Eustolio will be ready to move in this June or July to work with the new believers there.

Tenango, Citlala, San Felipe, Tlanchinol, Aquilastec, Taxicho, and Oxtomal are continuing on with work of sharing the Good News and developing mature believers in Christ.  One believer has been elected to leadership in Tlanchinol has jurisdiction over 50 villages (Chachatla and Totonicapa are two of those 50).

In Matlapa, where Don was working when he passed, Esther's husband, Benjamin, has been elected for a three-year term to the lower house of Congress.  When we were working at the fall medical clinic, he and Esther invited the whole group over to his house for dinner, shared his testimony and committed himself to helping us reach out to some of the hundreds of villages over which he has jurisdiction.  For such a time as this.  Please pray for Benjamin and Esther  and God's wisdom in moving forward with this opportunity.

The work continues to grow in Matamoros.  Juan Roque is a spiritual giant in a little man's body.  He continues to pastor the Las Palmas church which has grown to about 400.  This past summer the Las Palmas church brought on Gilberto to work with Juan as co-pastor.  This has freed up Juan to be able to travel to the new church plants on a monthly basis.  In addition, the transition is being readied for the new land (Project Oasis) in Matamoros.  Services are being held there on Sunday evenings.  In the neighborhood next door to the land (Ejido Longoreno) services are being held each Monday evening.  This winter and spring, work groups are coming to continue work on the dorms, begin breaking ground on classroom additions and begin work on the church building at Project Oasis.  Please continue to lift up Juan and Gilberto and their families and they labor together in Mexico.

The church plant in Monterey continues to grow.  They have decided to rent a facility in the neighborhood where the church plant began until suitable land can be purchased to build a permanent structure.  Pastor Leo has been a tremendous blessing and the work continues to thrive under his leadership.

Our plans for 2004 include continued outreach to new church plant areas.  Please pray that God would be opening hearts and preparing leaders to take on the leadership.  We are in the process of revising the website.  BLFM has been blessed with those that possess the technical skills to get this done.  We hope to be able to send out newsletters electronically and an archive of past newsletters will be available on the website for your convenience.  This website will allow us to post the calendar of what's going.  David Johnson, whose mother is Aztec, is gifted in this area and has been instrumental in helping us with this project.

Thank you for supporting this work.  It takes those who are willing to go and those who are willing to send to continue the work.  Thank you for your prayers.  Max Lucado frequently reminds us all "When we work, we work, but when we pray, God works."  We covet your prayers and God's blessing as we seek to bring the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to those who have not yet heard.

May God richly bless you and our partnership in the coming year and multiply the harvest.

Dios le bendiga,
David Nuckols
